Federal Reserve of America in a community service step toward helping those affected by foreclosures have come to offer help and tips to those facing the gruesome facts of foreclosure. After an in depth time of thought and brainstorming the Feds decided to make an advertisement that could be screened in theatres to be able to make the general public aware of the help and warn home owners with regards to foreclosures.
The advertisements are scheduled to be executed in fourteen cities that have elevated foreclosure housing outlets. This thirty second advertisement is a text related advert that screens texts with an audio voice-over explaining how families and individuals are affected by the growing rates of foreclosures in the city. These are accompanied by photos of the affected victims.
The screening starts with an opening line directly addressing victims of foreclosure and ends with an invitation to make use of the help provided for such victims. The advertisement also consists of foreclosure tips along with other information related to the same, which is available on the Federal Reserve Bank’s website.
The advertisements are scheduled to be screened from April.
The Chief Director of Federal Reserve Bank’s division of Community and Consumer affairs addresses the fact that the home owners who have been slapped with a foreclosure eviction are already stressed in many ways and the final thing that they have on their mind would be to shell out couple of bucks to be able to receive advice to help them out in their issue. Thus this initiative of offering help to the victims is a good way to help the society.
There are seven states that initially would screen the advertisement starting April. The states including California, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, Michigan, and Ohio are the seven chosen states because they are worst hit states by the foreclosures.
The advertisement was produced by National Cine Media, Ohio and costs the Feds $9000 to be produced and screened. The aim was to get more attention of the homeowners and thus help them defend themselves from any dodge artists trying to make money out of their misery.
There are numerous scam artists out in the open who device ways of making money out of another person’s grief and no better target than foreclosure victims. Victims have been pouring in money to attorneys and other people who pledge them relief by helping them save their homes have only made things worse by not doing anything. This has left the already confused victims completely shattered.
Being a non-profit venture the advert is not as flurry as big billboards, house-to-house marketing and other infomercials. The advert is pretty neat and simple and gives the information required. Though other government agencies have made this way of advertising help to victims in the past, it is the first time the Federal Reserve Bank has been up to a project like this of screening advertisements offering help to affected victims in movie theatres.
It is always good to be able to help and especially during a time when people need it and a government headed move to help victims such as this is truly appreciated by the society.
