Bank Foreclosure Listings
I’ll bet that if you could put yourself or any of your friends back in time ten years and you asked that group what the term bank foreclosure listings meant. You would get a lot of different responses. That was a term that you just didn’t hear back then. Yes, there were bank foreclosures but there was not a huge bunch of them and certainly not enough that it would call for a listing. You might have been able to manage a statewide listing back then but today the market is able to support not only a city listing but a bank by bank listing since there are so many of them happening as of late.
The bank foreclosure listings have become more than a source of conversation for banks, they are a source of major concern because they are in effect choking the life out of many small banks which in turn injures the entire economy around them. These are no longer matters that we can ignore and hope that they go away. They are no longer issues that we can leave to the powers that be in the financial institutions to solve and let them fix the trouble. It is something that every person in this country needs to look at and have a firm understanding and knowledge of and be able to address the situations and speak on their concerns.
Bank foreclosure listings are going to be a fact of life for generations to come because it has gotten so out of hand. It would be wise if the children in school today were taught the importance of the current economic issues and how we got here and ways that it could have been avoided so that the problem does not repeat its self in the future.
For everything there is a cause and effect. This current problem is no different and the bank foreclosure listings have increased to the point of epidemic proportions because even though the cause was seen and the people in control knew what the end result was, no one accepted the responsibility and acted on the issue because no one wanted to be blamed for causing the trouble.
The simple fact of the matter is that the cancer that is eating at the very core of our real estate and in reality our entire financial system in this country today has been active for a very long time and growing daily for years. The presidents of the financial institutions knew what the end result of the zero down and no credit check loans would be. They simply chose to ignore the long-term facts for the purpose of short-term individual gains.
As a result of these actions, millions of people have lost their livelihoods and their family homes are ending up on bank foreclosure listings and entire generations of lives are going to be devastated and completely ruined beyond compare of recognition.
It could have been avoided or at the very least lessened had some one actually owned up to it and said we have a problem that needs to be fixed before it can’t be stopped.
